BEFORE CLASS:

  • Video from Timothy O'Reiley, Esq on Tier I Mortgage Securitization Auditing (4 hours); (Power Point Provided)
  • Video From Patricia Rodriguez, Esq. on Mortgage Securitization in Litigation (4 hours) (CA, NV, WA, OR, AZ) or Jeff Jackson (TX, FL, LA, AL, NM, IL), or Divina Westerfield Chad Elrod (NY, NJ, IN, PA, MA, CT, DE, NC, SC) each (4 hours). Choice depending on Region (Power Point Provided)
  • Also students are advised to refresh their education and training on important topics by reviewing the previously recorded MSA Class Sessions, their notes from the previous class, and case files and homework assignments previously given and graded.

Day 1

Advanced Analysis of Mortgage Securitization and recap of the TIER I Mortgage Securitization Analyst Class, different types of Reports Introduced:

  • Loan positively identified in Bloomberg.(Case Study1)
  • Loan made by securitization sponsor not reporting loan level detail (e.g. World Savings). (Case Study2)
  • Loan made or purchased by securitization sponsor without supporting loan level detail.(Case Study3)
  • Loan made by bank not involved in securitization acquired by FDIC.(Case Study4)
  • Unsecured Debt Analysis and Samples (Case Study10)



Day 2

  • Securitized loan made by bank seized by FDIC (e.g. Washington Mutual securitized loan prior to JPMorgan Chase / FDIC purchase and assumption agreement).(Case Study5)
  • Government-sponsored enterprise loans (detailed comparison of Fannie Mae and Ginnie Mae loan, including overview of entity financial statements). (Case Study6)
  • Discussion and brief overview of student loans, credit card loans, vehicle loans, international loans.(Case Study7)
  • Brief overview of commercial mortgage-backed securities loan.(Case Study9)

  • JULY 27, and 28 (Saturday & Sunday) 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. PST, homework provided each session, sessions will be recorded and available to students to review.
